My Volvo 1800 ES

I’m having a RHD 1971 Volvo 1800 ES (origin UK) that is in a very good condition for over 20 years now, but since the kids grew up I bought an Amazon Combi.
I tried to sell the 1800 ES in the Netherlands, but right hand driven is not popular. I offered it in the UK, but someone offered only 12.000 euro (not a joke). People tell me its is worth around 35-45.000. I have it stored in a garage 3 km away, I’m not using it every week. So not for work, because we always ride a bike ;-).

Though the care is pretty rare, parts are still good available.
The car drives tremendous, runs smooth (much better than most), has an injection and an overdrive. Really everything technical and mechanical is extremely good.
Very recent I visited a meeting where also the injection was checked; people were very enthusiastic about the ease of ignition and the way it runs.

The front seats have been reupholstered and reupholstered in leather.
The body and chassis are in very-very good state. I’ve had the box girders treated with Tectyl anti-rust treatment several times, including the girders themselves.
Only the interior could use some attention. The carpet is not so neet. A small window bracket is broken, and there are some stains in the trunk lining. One window glider is loose. That’s it. And since I’m not a tinkerer, maintenance has always been done at garages.

The car has always been stored/kept indoors.
